A Decade of Love | The Muñoz 10-Year Anniversary

This June, the Muñoz family celebrated 10 beautiful years of marriage—and I had the honor of being their photographer both the beginning and this milestone moment. A decade ago, and I still remember their wedding day like it was yesterday. Cari + Jose said Ido in Asherton, at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. She wore a stunning vintage wedding dress and Jose looked amazing by her side. Happy and in love!

I photographed Cari’s delicate details—her rings, her dress, and that beautiful bouquet. I remember how she kept her rings tucked safely in a sweet little glass box. Ten years later, she brought that very same box with her, along with her original rings and her new 10-year anniversary ring. #Upgraded

One of my favorite moments from their wedding day was when we snuck away to a rustic gate for their bride and groom portraits. Fast forward ten years later—and Cari and Jose wanted to return to that very same gate where we took their wedding portraits, this time with their two blessings, their boys. They wanted their children to stand in the place where their love story began. It was a full-circle moment—one of those quiet, powerful touches that speaks volumes about the legacy they’re building.

Ten years together and many moons later, Cari and Jose have built a life rooted in love, laughter, and family. With Luca and Jerry by their side, they’ve grown not only in years—but in purpose, in grace, and in joy.

This anniversary session felt like the perfect blend of traditional and lifestyle. We toasted with champagne to mark this decade of togetherness, then captured the boys simply being themselves—playing with their favorite toys, running around with laughter echoing through grass and taking pictures with Mom and Dad.

These are surely the good ole days—the ones they’ll look back on, hand-in-hand, remembering how far they’ve come. “Many waters cannot quench love; rivers cannot sweep it away.”Song of Solomon 8:7Because when love is true and rooted in faith, it only grows sweeter with time. Ten years down, forever to go.
