Save the Date in Midland | Serena & Marcus

Hours out from Carrizo Springs, tucked between the long and quiet stretches of West Texas, I headed to Midland for a very special Save the Date session with Serena and Marcus. I’ve photographed Serena for years—she’s one of my longtime clients—and this time I had the joy of documenting her and Marcus ahead of their Fall wedding in October 2025. And let me just say… these two brought it.

From the moment we started, everything about this session felt intentional and timeless. Serena wore a stunning white mini dress that was elegant but bold, paired with heels that were absolutely perfect (I mean jaw-dropping perfect). She had not one, but two veils—one long and romantic, and another short and playful—that brought so much personality and style into each frame. It was effortlessly her.

We moved through downtown Midland, using its architecture and cute and intimate city charm to complement their polished style. But it was the little details that made it all feel like them—the custom touches in their jewelry, the heirloom truck that’s been in their family, and the way they looked at each other, like no one else was around.

To finish the evening, we stopped at the most charming restaurant and bar, where Serena had one final request: a flash-forward moment, literally. We leaned into that vintage, editorial vibe with a little drama, a lot of laughter, and had us a chill time. The entire shoot felt like a film in the making.

This October, I’ll be heading back to Midland to photograph their wedding day, and if this session was any glimpse into what’s to come—I know it’ll be something unforgettable.

Here’s to timeless love, vintage trucks, dramatic veils, and stories that get better with every chapter.

As Serena and Marcus prepare to step into forever this Fall, I’m reminded of the sweet truth in Jeremiah 29:11 — that God’s plans are always good, and the future is always full of hope when it’s rooted in Him.

Can’t wait to do it all again this Fall but this time with FAMILY and FRIENDS!
