Denim Days + TXST Ways. Lila’s Western Spring Senior Portraits + Send-Off!
Lila’s Spring Senior Session was such a dream session—from the denim tones to her quiet confidence, it felt like we bottled up a season of calm before her next big adventure. This session marked her college reveal— and she’s headed to Texas State University this Fall!
We started the day at her high school, where she brought her car, I love when Seniors do that. It’s a great way to grab something original. I loved her flowy and airy white dress—clean, classic, and made for senior portraits. It paired beautifully with her cap and gown, and together we got the kind of images that will be passed on far past graduation.
As always, I like to bring something new to every session—especially when I’m shooting in her hometown. I scout spots that feel true to each senior’s story, and with Lila, we explored hidden corners of Carrizo, chasing the light from afternoon to golden hour. Her outfits were on point: whites, western denim, and the right amount of grace with grit to add variety to her session.
We ended the shoot with one of my favorite looks—a denim jumper that gave us freedom to be creative. I love playing with emotion, light, shadows and movement. Not everything needs to be posed or perfect—it’s how we make our clients feel in that moment that brings the image to life.
A special thank you to her Mama, Christy, for always giving her kids these memories. These chapters—these moments—THEY matter.
“Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord…” —Colossians 3:23
And that’s exactly what Lila does—pursuing what she loves while keeping her heart anchored in truth.
Congratulations again Lila, I can’t wait to document your next milestone!
