There’s something so special about the first birthday milestone—it’s a celebration of growth, joy, and all the tiny, unforgettable moments that got you there. Sonny’s one-year session was just that: full of heart, laughter, and a whole lot of charm.

When Ashley, Sonny’s mom (and my soul sister in style), reached out to plan his session, we both knew exactly what we wanted—something clean, natural, and vintage-inspired. We’re kindred spirits when it comes to aesthetic, so designing the setup felt effortless. I gathered neutral color for backdrops, vintage toy cars, and a cute blue classic banner. One wooden banner with his custom name to give his milestone session the perfect nostalgic touch. And of course, Ashley nailed his outfits—every look brought out Sonny’s adorable personality even more.

One of the sweetest moments was when Ashley jumped into a few frames, recreating a special memory from when I photographed her daughter’s first birthday years ago. Tying those stories together added so much meaning to the day.

And Sonny? He absolutely shined, I mean LOOK AT HIM! That joyful smile to the way he dove right into his cake, every part of this session was genuine. He clapped, played, snacked, and made us all laugh.
